The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old individual, was able to successfully decouple the tractor unit from the burning truck before any injuries were reported. Fortunately, no one was harmed in the incident.
The fire department used foam to extinguish the fire, and the road was temporarily closed for approximately six hours due to the firefighting operations. Two lanes on the A10 were closed, causing significant traffic jams.
The fire is suspected to have started in a tire of the truck. The fire rekindled around 3 a.m. on Friday, but was quickly extinguished once again. The name of the driver of the compressed cardboard-loaded truck that burned twice on the A10 is not publicly disclosed.
