Euskirchen's Day of Open Heritage Draws 1200 Visitors

The second Sunday of September witnessed the nationwide Day of Open Heritage, with many visitors combining sightseeing with voting. In Euskirchen, around 1200 people participated in tours, exhibitions, and learned about local landmarks.

The day provided a variety of experiences. The 'Café Paradise' and the 'CASINO' opened their doors, offering insights into restorations and exhibits. The 'culture and support association CASINO e.V.' shared its work with visitors. To conclude the day, a classical concert was held in the 'Great Hall' of the Casino.

At the historic cemetery on Frauenberger Str., tours centered around the theme of 'War and Peace' were conducted. Railway enthusiasts admired the Prussian locomotive shed and the 'Zucker-Susi'.
